CAM Innovation has been designing and manufacturing taping machine systems for nearly a century. We have produced machines to tape all kinds of wire harnesses, cables, fiber optic cables, buss bars, insulating rings, static rings, water tubing, all kinds and sizes of electric coils and even hula hoops. CAM has advanced the technology of applying tape and has developed a large family of specialized taping heads that is unequalled by any other manufacturer. [ Photos & More Detailed Information ]
Motor coil manufacturing has always involved a lot of manual work by skilled workers. But it doesn't have to be that way. CAM Innovation can put a fully automatic coil production system in your coil manufacturing shop that will revolutionize your bussiness. Automatic coil production systems greatly reduce both labor and manufacturing time while producing a consistent high quality coil. [ Photos & More Detailed Information ]
For more than 90 years, CAM Innovation has been improving the art of manual taping by introducing labor-saving manual taping machines. Thousands of these manual taping machines have been sold around the world and they have earned a reputation for their reliability and ease of use. [ Photos & More Detailed Information ]
CAM's manual taping machines are used to tape electric coils, wire harnesses and busss bars. These rugged, dependable machines are designed for continuous work. They can be used on practically all types and sizes of armature coils, buss bars, rods, ignition coils, wiring harnesses and similar objects, both rigid and flexible. These machines are used throughout the wire harness industry and are also used for spiral taping many products, ranging from golf clubs and fishing rods to tool handles and magnetic coils. Spiral taping refers to machines that apply tape across the length of a wire harness. Spiral taping machines work either by pulling the wire harness through the taping head or by running the taping head along the length of the wiring harness. As is true in many taping applications, the type of tape used for spiral taping is critical to the design of the machine. Other factors such as the length of the harness and the thickness of the piece being taped will affect machine design as will the number of breakouts on the harness. CAM's spot taping machines wrap adhesive tape around bundles of wires, pipes, tubes, and coils. They require no special brand of tape and work with many commercially available adhesive tapes. With a cycle time of less than one second, our manual tapers are much faster than hand taping and have been designed with your operator's safety and comfort in mind. Hand taping static rings for transformers, buss bars for generators or any kind of electrical ring is a time-consuming and tedious experience. CAM's Ring Taping Machine systems not only will improve the quality of the tape wrap and the consistency of the overlap, they will tape in mere minutes what takes hours to tape manually. With a precise tape overlay, there is no wasted material and therefore a savings in tape on every ring. You'll discover that the payback on a CAM Ring Taping Machine is faster than you ever imagined. There are two basic taping methods used to cover wire. Which taping method, eccentric or concentric, is best for your particular taping application is influenced by how fast the tape is to be applied and the size and shape of the work piece. In eccentric taping systems, the tape core roll is rotated around the wire or work piece. In concentric taping systems, the tape is applied using a rotating guide arm as the wire or work piece is passed through the center of the taping roll. [ Photos & More Detailed Information ]
